The filter head is an important part of the filtration system in the water treatment project, which plays the role of evenly distributing gas (water) by backwashing. The quality of the filter head directly affects the water quality, water production and operating costs.

At present, the air-water backwashing process is generally adopted when designing the filters of large and medium-sized water plants at home and abroad. This process can not only save the amount of backwash water, but also make the filter backwash effect is good.

The company has developed ZXQS filter head series products based on years of production and application in practice, and according to the characteristics of the gas-water backwash filter.

Structure and use

ZXQS type filter head is composed of filter cap, filter cap bottom plate, filter handle, embedded sleeve (nut) and sealing ring, and is made of ABS engineering plastic by injection molding.

The filter head can be divided into two types: long-handled filter head and short-handled filter head. There are long and finely machined slits evenly on the filter cap. Distribute water evenly. When the filter head is backwashed with air and water, the air first enters the bottom of the filter plate to form an air cushion layer. When the air cushion layer gradually increases to the long-shaped air inlet hole at the lower part of the filter handle, a large amount of air enters the filter handle and diffuses from the gap of the filter cap to wash the filter. The filter material is fully expanded and scrubbed with each other in a suspended state, and then a separate water backwash is performed to backflush the sludge impurities into the sewage collection tank to be discharged.

① The gap of the filter head is free from defects such as defects, air bubbles, waste edges and burrs.

② The surface of the filter head is smooth, without obvious impurities, no cracks, and the color should be consistent.

③ When backwashing with gas alone, the head loss of the filter head and the head loss of the filter head for simultaneous backwashing with gas and water shall meet the design requirements.

④ It is advisable to install 49 to 56 filter heads per square meter in the filter tank.

⑤ The water flow rate of the filter head is 0.3 to 0.5 tons/hour (the filter head gap area is 2.5 cm2 and the filtration rate is 8 m/s).

Gas supply system

There are two types of air supply sources:

1. Use an air machine to supply air to the filter tank after adjusting the pressure through the intermediate air storage tank.

2. Use a blower to supply air directly to the filter.

For the two forms of air supply, the outlet air pressure should be no less than 0.15Mpa.

Installation requirements

The filter heads should be evenly arranged on the filter plate. Before being installed on the filter plate, the filter head pre-embedded sleeve should be pre-buried in the filter plate according to the design size requirements, and the filter head can be tightened during installation. The filter head installation spacing is generally not less than 100mm.
